Declining numbers and decreasing interest in the Scout movement led to our being invited to attempt to reverse the trend. Our unique and dramatic portrayal of their plight was expressed in print and television executions, citing Scouts as a potentially endangered species and exploiting their close traditional ties to both fauna and nature itself.
